Live-out Housekeeper/Cook in St John’s Wood

Our private clients, a lovely family of 3,  are seeking an experienced, proactive Housekeeper/Cook for their large 4-story property in St John’s Wood. Must also love dogs and be happy to care for the family’s small dog when they travel.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Overall care and smooth running of the household
• High-standard housekeeping (with support from a cleaner 3x per week)
• Cooking healthy, Mediterranean-style meals (light lunch/supper)
• Weekly shopping & household errands
• Managing deliveries, meeting contractors & greeting guests
• Dog care: daily walk for a friendly small dog plus occasional overnight care at the house
• Overseeing contractors and maintaining household organisation

Ideal Candidate

• Flexible and happy to adapt to the family’s schedule
• Positive, friendly, “can-do” attitude
• Confident cook with an interest in healthy cuisine
• Comfortable with dogs
• Happy to work in a smoke-free household
• Strong English communication skills
• Willing to travel to the family’s Europe summer home for 2 weeks

 

Working Hours

• Monday–Friday | 8:30 am–5:30 pm
• Occasional evenings (up to 8 pm, with later start)
• Occasional weekend support (with time off in lieu)

 

Salary & Benefits

• £50,000–£55,000 DOE (flexible for the right candidate)
• 20 days holiday + bank holidays
• Overtime or time off in lieu for extra hours

Must have clear English and communication skills, have the right to work in the UK and DBS clearance (or happy to apply), along with longevity in previous private roles, recent and checkable references.
