French Tutor in Central London

Our private clients are seeking a part-time French‑speaking Tutor to support their teenage children with French language development, homework support, and structured after‑school care.  The role is London-based, with a little bit of travelling to the principals’ other UK residences

The position is ideal for a calm, confident, proactive candidate with experience supporting teenagers and encouraging good study habits. The role is discreet, and the family values professionalism and reliability

 

Key Responsibilities

• Provide consistent French tutoring (spoken, written, reading comprehension)
• Support homework and school organisation
• Engage the children in culturally relevant activities
• Offer calm, structured after‑school care
• Maintain routines, boundaries, and positive behaviour
• Overnight supervision once per week
• Work collaboratively with the full-time nanny

 

Candidate Profile

Essential

• Fluent French speaker
• Experience working with teenagers
• Confident, mature, and able to manage children calmly
• Reliable, discreet, and professional
• Comfortable with overnight duties

Desirable

• Background in tutoring, education, or French schooling
• Driving helpful but not essential

 

Contract & Benefits

•  £30,000-£35,000 gross per annum
• Permanent contract
• Part-time (2 days plus one evening shift, Tuesday through to Wednesday afternoon)
• Start date flexible – the family will appoint once the right person is found
