Our private clients, a young family with a baby, are seeking a reliable, discreet, and highly organised Part‑Time Housekeeper/Cook to support the smooth running of their home in Fulham. This is a long‑term position for someone who takes pride in maintaining a beautifully presented household and enjoys preparing simple, healthy meals. A full‑time nanny is employed, so the role focuses exclusively on the home and light family cooking.
Role Overview
Working 20 hours per week, the Housekeeper will take full responsibility for the daily upkeep, cleanliness, and organisation of a modern 3‑bedroom property. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail‑oriented, and able to manage their time efficiently without supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Housekeeping & Home Care
- Daily cleaning and maintenance of all rooms, including kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, and living areas
- Dusting, hoovering, mopping, and general tidying
- Changing bed linens and managing weekly bedroom refresh
- Laundry, ironing, and wardrobe organisation
- Care of delicate fabrics and surfaces
- Keeping the home well‑organised, orderly, and guest‑ready at all times
- Emptying bins, recycling, and maintaining household cleanliness standards
Cooking & Meal Support
- Preparing simple, healthy lunches or light meals for the principals
- Basic food prep, fridge organisation, and ensuring freshness of produce
- Following any dietary preferences or instructions provided by the family
Household Organisation
- Monitoring stock levels of cleaning products and household essentials
- Flagging any maintenance issues promptly
- Maintaining a calm, discreet presence within the home
Candidate Profile
Essential
- Previous experience in private households
- Strong housekeeping skills with excellent attention to detail
- Confident with laundry, ironing, and wardrobe management
- Ability to cook simple, healthy meals
- Trustworthy, discreet, and respectful of family privacy
- Self‑motivated and able to work independently
- Good level of English
Desirable
- Experience working in homes with young children (though no childcare required)
- Knowledge of London household suppliers and local services
Working Hours & Benefits
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm (20 hours per week)
- Salary £25,000–£30,000, depending on experience
